Mandate

Finar handled the design, fabrication, and installation of the power plant building in St-Joachim. It was constructed on a hillside and along a riverbank, in the busy touristic area of the Sainte-Anne Canyon near Quebec City. Finar was tasked with designing, fabricating, and installing a structure to support a 65-ton overhead crane for handling turbines, as well as a 10-ton monorail. The steep slope required efficient planning of deliveries, site access, and the use of a tower crane as well as close coordination with other project partners.
