With the significant increase in our business volume, we're expanding our team and opening up new positions, including that of Project Engineer. If you fit the bill, you'll have the opportunity to be part of a skilled team truly dedicated to the success of our clients' projects.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and coordinate projects under your responsibility
- Ensure effective collaboration between the in-house technical team (engineers, technicians, and drafters), subcontractors, and the client's project team
- Negotiate and award subcontracts within allocated budgets
- Establish, manage, and ensure compliance with project timelines
- Help develop solutions to various issues that may arise during design and implementation
- Estimate the cost of change notices and obtain client approvals
- Conduct site visits as needed
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
- Member of Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or any other relevant specialty
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a structural and project management engineer
- Experience in steel structures (required)
- Proficiency with Office Suite
- Expertise in steel buildings and general construction (an asset)
- Sense of initiative and strong leadership
